Help and contact

Questions, problems or ideas: we read every message. Here is the quickest way to an answer.

1

Look it up

Most questions are answered in the help center, the troubleshooting table of the messages you’re most likely to see, or the FAQ.

2

Send it from the app

Settings → Send Feedback. Choose Problem, Idea, Question or Something Else, say which part of the app, and tell us about it. Add your email if you’d like a reply. Offline, it’s kept and sent later.

3

Or email us

info@rimreader.com. A screenshot of the screen you were on helps a lot: the app’s bottom bar has a Screenshot button.

To help us help you

  • Your phone’s make and model.
  • The app version: Settings → About.
  • What you were doing, what you expected and what happened, and the words of any message, as written.
  • For a measuring problem: your bracket (ours or homemade), when you last ran Bracket Calibration, and the confidence and reasons on the result.

Send Feedback adds the app version, phone model and calibration date for you, unless you untick Include app and phone details. It never adds a VIN, license plate, customer details, notes or readings, so please don’t type them into your message.

Your data

Rim Reader has no accounts, and your measurements, vehicles and settings stay on your phone. To delete them, uninstall the app or clear its storage in your phone’s settings. PDF reports you saved are in your phone’s Download/Rim Reader folder; delete them there. If you sent us feedback and want it deleted, email us and we will delete it. Privacy policy.

Safety

Rim Reader gives estimates. Work on firm, level ground with the engine off, the parking brake on and the wheels chocked. Never get under a car held up only by a jack. Take the phone and bracket off before the car moves, and have a qualified shop check your alignment before highway driving. The full rules are in the Terms of Use and Safety.
